I've never been very disciplined in metering properly for my shoots. Because of some previous disasters, I finally invested in a digital spot meter - also my Leica doesn't have through the lens metering. I just found that Fuji Press 800 even when badly metered and pushed still gave me better quality than the Fuji Press 1600.
Also I rarely print colour of club events as I have much difficulty in properly balancing the skin tones against the existing lighting. Besides I just love b&w. herb On Mar 27th, Cornelius wrote >I also shoot low-light concerts and like yourself use 3200 b&w but also Fuji >1600 Press. Why not use this, it's rated at 1600 already and seems to holds its own at that speed.
