Rick and Lucas,

Thanks for the replies.  I noticed that in the reviews
that the istD did not sound the same. And that the
tests were done in a very empty sounding room. (a lab
maybe?)  The review tests are really frame rate tests
against the "std" C/N cameras.  I agree that my film
slrs are louder probably because the mirror is bigger.
My istDS has a high pitched sound that I really
notice,  but then, it's up in front of my face!
