It varies over time, kind of cyclical. Sometimes it is just fondling the
equipment, owning nice things makes me feel good. Sometimes it is the
picture hanging on the wall, completion makes me feel good. Sometimes it
is the process itself, the craft of photography, kind of the Zen of
photography thing. Sometimes it is learning to do new things. And
sometimes it is the people I meet along the way. Related to the last is
the pleasure I get from working a shoot. Or maybe the answer is all of
the above and more. I mean you have to get a lot out of something for it
to remain your main hobby for more than 50 years.
