Yah, I'll give you that.

Some guys did some tests over on a Canon list recently and the shots
with filters on were not as sharp as those without. I'd like to see some
Pentax lens tests with and without filters, especially on some decent
long glass. Any takers?

I think it's fair to mention, as many times as necessary, to get the point across. Just because it's a photographic filter, does NOT mean it's a parallel flat disc, and will not introduce abberations! Within reason, the more you pay for a good filter, the less chance it will do anything but color your image.

On the other nand, a *cheap" filter is a crap shoot. Nobody knows it it's optically benign or not until you use it.
