UK service providers have somewhat backed themselves into a corner by doing this in the early days to promote business. Now, it's the only way to get people to change. The cost is (theoretically) recouped from call/text costs. That probably only works with teenagers - of all ages - and business users. So far, I've managed to get away with only ever buying one phone and that was secondhand. I'm going to try to maintain that record for as long as possible. My record for low call costs in one month is £1.36p. That can change by up to two orders of magnitude when I go abroad..... m > > > -----Original Message----- > > From: graywolf [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > > Sent: 06 April 2006 01:37 > > To: [email protected] > > Subject: Re: OT - Treo 650 question > > > > For $300 bucks (difference in over all costs) I will put up > > with that annoyance.
