Thanks for the real-world timing numbers, Godfrey.
Whenever I end up buying a new computer it may actually be practical
for me to shoot RAW. Still don't know that I would, but it wouldn't be
as obviously the wrong thing for me to do. ;)
Unfortunately, I'm guessing that poor Mr. G4 dual 867 is going to be
slower than your new box. And he's had his upgrades for the year -- I
blew the budget on the DS2, some SD cards, another hard drive and a USB
2.0 upgrade card to speed up my importing.
The next big job money goes into iBook repair or replacement, I think.
Maybe not. Maybe a lens.
