Besides that, PSE3/4 only allow access to the basic functions in
Camera Raw, for ACR 2.x and 3.x. All the more powerful functions
require functions that are only available in CS and CS2.
The differences between those functions are extensive between CS and
CS2, thus the incompatibility. CS2 is a *major* update to CS under
the covers.

Elements 3 was still current software when ACR 3.0 was released, CS
was not. In fact Elements 3 for the Mac was only discontinued quite

I had to D/L the ACR for Elements 3 so i can get Raw support for
the D200. I'm kinda ticked there is no support for newer cameras
in CS, but there is in the cheaper version of EL3, as i only
recently aquired it instead of CS2.
Now work flow is two computers, two OS's and file movement. I
thought life was supposed to be better with technology.:<vbg>

From: "David Savage" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Don if you install
version 2.4 of the ACR plug-in for CS (the most recent version for
CS IIRC) you will then be able to see & edit your .pef files.
Here's the direct link to the necessary plug-in: <http://
www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=2701> I had CS
for some time before upgrading to CS2 & had no problems working
with the Pentax RAW files, once I installed the updated plug-in
(v2.1 at that time). I still have CS installed with v2.4 of ACR.
BTW Adobe Bridge is only available with CS2. Cheers, Dave S. David
