Thanks for the comments Ken, interesting. Personally I like the OOF body and I prefer the original uncropped version (the one I showed was cropped for a 8x10 print) even more with a bit more of the body showing up the top (though I dislike the 3:2 ratio for portrait-orientations):

This guy would really pop if the background color was in more contrast with the snake's color.

Yep, you're right, the set-up wasn't very good and that green is a bit nasty.

Eastern coast of Australia north of Sydney and up into the tropics and top end. Unfortunately it's been introduced into Guam where it's wreaking havoc upon the native birds.
