While I think Pentax will likely make an update to the MZ-S, I doubt the
changes would be drastic enough that it would suddenly become a "much better
SLR."
If there's a camera out there that meets your needs, get it! Life's too
short to worry about what people on the PDML will think of you if you switch
to Canon or Nikon...
