Sorry Bill, I only mention this as I am still close to film, and my biggest magnification on film is from the A400 f5.6. It is a big, heavy lens to shoot with, has a 77mm front element, and is probably 15 to 18 inches long. In comparison, the AF1.7X and A200 f4 combination is f6.8, is maybe 7-8 inches long with a 52mm front end. All this and you get more magnification on the ist DS too! Regards, Bob S.
