I'm looking to get a couple of softboxes. I have umbrellas and need something with a more diffused look. Any experiences with particular brands or styles? Sizes, shapes that are more useful? Anything I should stay away from or watch out for?

I'm a big fan of Photoflex. Durable, easy to set up, and completely neutral. I have a Westcott box that adds a pink tint to the light, which is OK if you want that all the time, but I prefer neutral. I tested the ones AlienBees sell and they work fine but are a PITA to set up. If you plan to set up once and leave them, they might be OK, but if you plan to set up and take down a lot, they would drive me nuts. The nicest softboxes I have ever used are the Plume Wafers, but they're pricey.

Oops, looks like you answered the question I just asked you in a separate part of the thread. Thanks.

Someone handed me a picture and said, "This is a picture of me when I was younger." Every picture of you is when you were younger. "...Here's a picture of me when I'm older." Where'd you get that camera man?
