Obviously, shadow detail wasn't a priority here. Foggy Ridge is an
excellent shot. Forest 1 is very good as well. Good work.

Bill,
Thanks for commenting. I wasn't looking for or wanting much shadow
detail in these shots. I think it would have been hard to get because
of the lighting, but the lighting is what made the shots to begin
with.
Silohouetted trees in fog was what I was hoping for.
I wasn't looking for a center of interest in these shots, and don't
think one is needed. They are supposed to convey the feeling of
standing in a foggy forest. The entire scene was the center of
interest, in my mind.
I may experiment with several in B&W.
In any case, I'm glad they peaked enough interest for you to comment.
:-) See if you came down here, we could go places...

Nice composition, no shadow detail.
That would be a hard shot to do in one exposure.

Forest 1

The light is gorgeous, but the picture falls flat. I keep looking for
a center of interest, and don't find one.

Forest 2

Same as 1. I like the symmetry. I think I'd try to burn down that sky
a bit., and maybe dodge the background fog a touch.
And it needs shadow detail.

Forest 3

Light's gone. No magic left.
It's just a foggy background now.

More shadow detail, and you should have been a couple of feet to the
left.
And burn down the top right corner.

Forest 5

I like the composition, it would be better in black and white, and
better still on 4x5.
There isn't enough shadow detail.

I would have walked right past that, and not even seen it.
Thanks for looking.
Are you sure?
