Unfortunately, both of those would require a PC and a USB 2.0 port -- I know 
for a fact that my card-to-computer data rate is far slower than the 
camera-to-card rate.'

I guess I could record the shutter sound and measure the fps once the buffer is 
filled -- to time how fast the buffer empties.
