Difference of opinion, that's all. Neither is "full function".
But I'd rather have automatic iris operation and semi-automatic exposure only with M/K-bayonet lenses than manual stop-down iris operation and Av with screw mount lenses. It suits my picture taking better, so I rate M/K-bayonet operation as a better compromise than M42 operation.
To call M42 operation "full function", any more than calling M/K- bayonet operation "full function", to someone new to these cameras is somewhat misleading and doesn't represent reality. They are both easily usable but compromised in functionality.

I'd call being able to use all apertures in Av mode rather than only wide open 'full function in Av mode', since M/K lenses don't do Apertture Priority at anything other than wide open. And that's what I stated. The fact they have other weaknesses doesn't detract from their distinct advantage over M/K glass, IE true AE function in at least one mode, rather than only being able to use the Green Button/AE Lock hack in M.
