No, I'd have taken the pic regardless, especially if using conventional B&W
film where I could control the shadows and highlights very precisely. 
Color neg would have had a lot more lattitude than the 8-bit TIFF file in
the Sony, so I'd not even thought about not taking the pic.  In any case,
I'd not have chosen to pass on this one - results may have been better with
a different camera or with film.
