Ours varies in both colour and size, although the size doesn't differ by much. I do like the idea of braille as you mentioned in another post, but I wonder how quickly it wears out.
I still have a pair of $1 and $2 notes from when they were phased out in favour of coins. Also some 1c/2c coins which disappeared at about the same time. On July 31 we're getting a whole new set of coins, minus the 5c and the dear old kiwi 20c design:
