Underscores in Pentax DS filenames?

For some reason, my Pentax DS places an underscore at the beginning of the 
filename of all my images. Is there any particular reason why this is 
happening? Is there a way to prevent the inserting of an underscore in the 
filename?

I can't find my owner's manual at the moment, and I would appreciate any 
help you can give me.
