I don't think that anyone's saying the "everyone must use bicycles". Hell, I say even if you don't enjoy it, you shouldn't do it.

However, there are alternatives, such as "adult tricycles" that suit
certain disabilities.  Some of these things are pretty high-tech, and
built for racing, so they're light and fast.  For those without use of
their legs, handcranks are available.

Hey then there's unicycles. Perfect for people having no hands but healthy legs. They should cost 1/2 of what a bicycle costs. ;-)
