You know, you're right.  I went to China in '99 and was amazed to see all
the things bikes were used for.  One bike, leaning against a wall, had two
gigantic pots of pitch on it, presumably for use in patching roofs.  I shot
a few of that one.  I also have several other shots of bikes without owners.
