Most people never even see it as it is appended well below the last line of an individual message post. I often forget it is there at all.
It's FAR less obnoxious than the previous list host that was serving one of these lists. With that one, they started putting multiple advertisements into even text emails in the form:

Not only did they stick that on *EVERY* individual message, but the digest included it with every message as well. Talk about obnoxious!
Another good list host I've used is located at http:// www.freelists.org/. Very reliable, very easy to set up. Fewer features than Yahoo.com, which is why it wasn't chosen for the DUG communities' move, but a very good list host I can recommend to anyone interested.
