Conversely, it's considered bad form to post a link to a currently running auction that is not yours (being held by you). Why? To avoid list members bidding each other up. :-) A price war, in other words. The idea is if someone is interested in a particular lens, let that list member find it by him/herself on ebay. List members may still end up bidding against each other, usually without realizing it, but it doesn't artificially drive the price up. Marnie aka Doe
