No. Otherwise, how would hackers be able to command computers from
afar? If you access an unencrypted network, _someone_ will have found a
way to access your machine. Do you think MS or Apple would tell us?
Although it is tempting, accessing unencrypted networks seems to be
asking for trouble, especially in very public places.
