This does not answer your question. But, I've seen outstanding bokeh from the Sigma 100-300/4, if that's the lens you are referring to.
BTW. You can search for examples of specific lenses on this site http://www.treknature.com/ Looking there should give you a rough idea on bokeh on long lenses.
