Hi Paul ... I've not considered the DA 16~45 for one of my first auto focus lenses because I'd like whatever lens(es) I get - certainly for the time being - to work well on 35mm film bodies. The FA's will do that, and the DA's may not do it, or do it well. The other thing is that I'd like to keep the physical size of the lenses as small as possible. I know you and others are quite fond of the DA 16~45, and but, for the reasons given, it was never really on my "A list."
