I took these with the *ist D, AF500 FTZ & a bed sheet pegged to the
curtains behind the table :-)

Flashed aim straight up at the ceiling (Sigma 18-55 f3.5-5.6)

Flash aimed at the wall to the left. (FA100 Macro f2.8)

I was using TTL & just kept dialing in compensation until the
histogram & preview looked about right. Very un-scientific :-)

I'm a really true newbie concerning flash photography.
I can use flash but it is often very ugly lol.

I need to take pictures of my gear for a quick little website for my studies.
I took a couple with a lens placed on a white drawing A3 paper.
Results are OK for a cheap hack but shadows from the integrated flash
are problematic.
I also own an Metz 40MZ2 but TTL is often unreliable with my D.

Equipment used:
* ist-D
* SMCP 100/3.5 macro

Any cheap advice/trick?
Thanks
