It seems an excellent lens. I haven't really had time to do any serious shooting with it yet. Perhaps this weekend.
One tactic I took when the FA50/1.4s were in very short supply was to put the email address into a notification that would send my mobile phone a text message. Soon as it rang, I called and placed the order. I got it in less than four days that way.
