Hi Bob, I tried using Irfan some time ago for conversions, and while it will work, my feeling was it was slow to load files and that there are better free alternatives out there. I love Irfanview, but not for this process. Have you looked at RSE ... a number of people here use it and I've read positive comments about the program in various venues. I've not yet tried it myself, although it's been sitting in my download folder for a while.
