I'll sometimes use a filter, although it's rare. Still, I won't give up the ones I have.
I'd like to add to my "collection" of crappy filters - those with scratches, damaged glass, or in any other way useless as filters. If anyone's got such filters and would care to send them my way, please contact me off list.
