It's possible to do even better than that - if the motion detectors
include accelerometers then the stabilization logic could smooth out
wobbles while maintaining the same average pan rate.

I'd love to see that, and it's just the kind of clever trick that
Pentax might have up their sleeves.  I guess we'll find out once
the K100D hits the shelves (or will we have to wait for the 10D?).
