Austin prides itself on being weird and the only "BLUE" county in Texas
(you-know-who couldn't get elected to dog catcher here). Austin bills itself as
"the live music capital" and "the bat city" - there's a pretty fair selection
of c&w, rock-a-billy, rock, folk, and even progressive jazz plus music I don't
know how to label being played everyday at the clubs around Austin. Robert
Gonzalez (aka Gonz) and I are native Texans (very rare breed) and the local
PDMLers. There may be others, but I'm not acquainted with them. There's lots
to shoot: weird people, weird bldgs, weird bats, weird dogs, weird graffiti,
weird sports, weird landscapes, weird everything!

No, I don't work for the chamber.

There aught to be, it's in Texas. On the other hand there's also a
thriving strange music scene, because, because, well because it's Austin.
