Unfortunately, everytime switching filters (I hate to stack filters) would 
expose them to air and those tiny dirt would just stick themselves on 
without my permission.  :<  This is especially true when using filters in 
the field (and usually in a hurry). And those HMC filters are not very flare 
resistance either (to my standard anyway). I did recall from memory that 
they had flare problem in more than a few occassions. I like HOYA filters 
very much, but their HMC aren't as flare proof as SMC unfortunately (just 
keep the Sun and strong light away will often solve the problem however).
