Unfortunately nothing seems to stop 100% of the crap. Pop-ups, animation, music, ads, etc. no matter what you do some of them get by however there are a couple of easy things to do.
Just disabling MacroMedia (now Adobe) Flash will stop about 90% of the animated web crap. As for sound I just normally keep it turned down and only turn it up when I specifically want to hear something. -- graywolf http://www.graywolfphoto.com http://webpages.charter.net/graywolf "Idiot Proof" <==> "Expert Proof" ----------------------------------- Ann Sanfedele wrote: > > thanks but --- > that doesn't work for me, Paul -- > I wouldn't know which to allow and not to anything I was > going to for the first time. > > However, if I could remember to do it each time, > I could dispense with the load images just when I start to > search > and then put it on again when I finished. > > > What i want is a permanent stop animation button - know > where i can find one of those? :) :) > > ann > -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
