The 43mm is the only Limited lens I have, and it's the only lens I've ever bought new. The main reason why I bought mine was for the build. I loved the all- metal finish and the high-quality feel. I wanted an AF "normal" lens, which meant a choice between ordering the 43 Limited or the FA50 at about half the price. Because I'd use it mostly in manual focus, I decided the Limited was the way to go (it helped that the distributor let me borrow it for a week). This lens on the front of a K2 is one of my all-time favourite combinations. At the time I had a colleague who also used Pentax, and I had a difficult time trying to convince him that I was willing to spend the extra money so I could enjoy using my gear. He always placed a lot of emphasis on cost, where I'd usually put more weight on other factors. At this point I'd say that I'd rather have a few wonderful lenses than a lot of "good" ones, but when I look at my camera shelf I think I may have overdone it a bit :) - Dave -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
