At work, and occasionally elsewhere, I'm using a really crappy webmail 
interface supplied courtesy of my ISP.    Although I can configure permanently 
how mails appear to me, there appears to be no way to do it with outgoing 
stuff.  I don't want to use a proper email programme when I'm away from my home 
machine, as I store stuff on that.  I assume that the extra "Re:" is part of 
this problem.  _If I remember_ I try to do things like add carriage returns and 
get rid of excess footers but I'm getting old and I also get caught up in 
"conversations" so I tend to forget.

So, in advance, I apologise to those who have difficulty with my posts and I 
will try to do better in future.
