One American does not another American make.

That Americans CAN sue means nothing.
By far, most don't, haven't and would never, under normal circumstances.
You're believing too many tabloid (yellow press) stories, written by foreign 
(non-U.S.) journalists.

So you don't get your nose bent out of shape again, be it known I'm abundantly 
  aware that there are a LOT of no-account, low-life writers for the press in 
the U.S. However, I doubt that you read any of them, so I didn't bring their 
manner of crappy stories to the discussion.
They're not worth it. None of them. Yours, mine, none...

By the way, I DID read your reply before I sent this message, and don't agree 
that it's okay for any program to take over someone else's computer, for 
minutes at a time, under ANY circumstances. None whatsoever!
if it does, there's something wrong with the programming of the display 
application. Poorly written. Unsuitable for the general public.

Any program should be interruptible without the necessity of shutting down 
your computer.
