That was my immediate reaction as well, but we don't know all the details and the circumstances. Maybe the Pixmantic people were looking to sell, maybe they even approached Adobe. I agree that competition is healthy, perhaps even going one step further to suggest that it's important for the creation of new ideas and concepts.
