One thing I noticed about the Pentax Photo Lab software is that it took care of hot pixels in a 3200 ISO image in a way that none of the other programs I tried out did, without using a noise filter. Does the camera "know" where its weakest pixels are and somehow convey that information to the software?
I'm embarking upon a project that will consist of very low light images. An upgrade to CS2 is out of my budget for this project. What do you folks recommend for RAW conversion for OS X? Can dodging and burning be done at the conversion stage? Are some converters better at upscaling than others? -Aaron -----Original Message----- From: Godfrey DiGiorgi <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subj: Re: Windoze versions and DS Date: Mon Jun 26, 2006 9:56 am Size: 399 bytes To: Pentax-Discuss Mail List <[email protected]> On Jun 26, 2006, at 5:59 AM, mike wilson wrote: > OK. The Pentax LAB and BROWSER are slow and do poor RAW conversions compared to almost any other RAW converter I've tested.
