The DSLR must have a little pixel transport mechanism though. I
imagine teams of leprechauns with wheelbarrows made from buttercups.

Never had that problem with any of my LXs. The MX doesn't always keep
an even distance between frames, but in 27 years without a service it
has never overlapped frames.
