Having been used to Sony Trinitron screens for years and years before moving to a Panasonic LCD, I was spoiled. I didn't know how spoiled I was! Take it from me, LCDs are nowhere *near* the equal of a CRT... The "crispness" is gone. Everybody on screen looks like those Stepford kids recently shown as examples of the cartoon effect photographic image manipulation. Granted, I now have double the resolution, what with Hi Definition® (1080) broadcasting, and the new, larger screen size is great. Watching the football (soccer) matches the last week or so on wide screen has been wonderful! However... If I had my 'druthers, and was wealthy, I'd arrange for a new and larger house to house a 32" CRT Sony. Of course I'd need a crane to lift it thru my skylight roof opening, but boy, the PICTURE quality I'd gain back! keith whaley > There you have it.
