The one advantage I see, and it is being done, is with some higher volume wedding and event photographers. Basically, they pay the lab or someone else to do the conversion and adjustments. They just shoot - because of how much they are doing. Shooting raw gives the middle man (lab or otherwise) the ability to control the image better. I don't think there are many on this list with that kind of volume.
