Well - it is back to the dark side for me.... I'm taking the DS back to Brooklyn tomorrow -
I would wreck this camera so fast - and I can't afford that. among my problems - handling the teensy weensy SD disk, holding the camera up - it weighs twice as much as my PRo-1 I didn't even open the box with the zoom in it... The software wouldn't load - the book that comes with the camera says , in fact, I can't use the USB cable to go from camera to computer. Then there are all those warnings... don't do this, don't do that, I've managed to get teh P&S Canon working well enough for most of what I want to do... and it only weighs 1 lb 3 oz. I can't get the SanDISK card reader to work either... I'm sure I'm just doing soemthing wrong but it won't install. I can't do this stuff alone -- my pain threshold is very very low. Just trying to look at the camera and hold the manual open was a trial - I've been using the screen on the canon to a lot when I've been shooting - too hard to see through the viewfinder of the DS -even though I knew I was going to do it.... I took a few shots and they are on the card and I can't even look at them on my computer... Sorry to babble so, but I really am holding back tears and exhausted and wide awake.... OTOH - it isn't flooded in Manhattan - I have two visiting kitty cats to keep me company. ann -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
