Noooo, it's not because they disagree. Using digital is to many people just a statement: "I use the most modern, the lates new gear. And I can afford a 500 or 1000 USD camera" Digatal is "in", but not necassarily the best solution for the persons needs. For the same reason many people buy Canon or Nikon - because it's a statement: "I use the same gear as the pro's - so I really know something about photography". And then digital is of course very cheap to use. That doesn't mean it's always best - IMO.
Many P&S digital camera users never even have print made ... I shoot 98% digital. That doesn't mean I can't see the advantages of using film - when film is the better choise.
