Ann - I just bought an adaptor for about $20 that will let you put an SD card into a CF slot.
It looks like a CF card with a slot that accepts the SD card. I have a bunch of CF cards for the istD and all of my other cameras take SD cards. For $20, it seemed like a good idea.
