Thanks for the info. I tried downloading a few demo versions of various products but I've become frustrated enough that I've decided to just spend the extra half-hour to rescan the slide. I'm dabbling with the idea of making the directories read-only, but instead of doing that I may just put some effort into catching up on my DVD backups. I think I have a flat tire to fix, so I may as well have the computer writing a couple of DVDs in the background.
