 The trouble with the southern hemisphere is that there aren't many points on 
land which are south enough to see aurora on a regular basis.  They were 
visible here in Christchurch NZ earlier this year but I missed out due to not 
knowing at the time (and severe light pollution in the city).  It's the kind of thing 
I'd love to see sometime.
