For good examples of magic hour you can do far worse than have a look
at photos by Steve McCurry and David Alan Harvey, who are 2 long-time
contract photographers for National Geographic, and Magnum members.

Personally I find it can get a bit tiresome, always this harsh, heavy
contrast, but they are both great photographers and I wish I had one
tenth of their skill.

Harry Gruyaert is another Magnum photographer who never goes out
unless the sun is below the yard arm. He uses a lot of heavy fill
flash though. But take a look at his Morocco portfolio.
