I'm using a Foxconn internal USB multi card reader. It's relatively
fast, (True USB 2.0 it seems, will transfer all the files on a full 1
gig card in 3-7 seconds), and a nice feature is that unlike some other
less expensive multi card readers I've used each slot is recognized as a
separate drive. You can mount a CF card and an SD card at the same time
and transfer data simultaneously, or from one to the other if you choose.
Another nice thing is that you can find these relatively cheaply. I got
mine for about $7.00 in an OEM package. I don't think they support any
version of Windows before WinME but that should not be a problem for
most people these days.

When you're worried or in doubt,
Run in circles, (scream and shout).
