It took me years to get my monitor calibrated, get a handle on color management and ICC profiles, etc. But you know, it's all worth it in the end.
Today I picked up a package of Ilford Smooth Glossy paper. When I got home I downloaded and installed Ilford's profiles for my Epson 2200. Ran a DNG file through Camera Raw intoPhotoshop tweaked with the curves tool and ran off two 8 x 12 prints. Didn't even try a proof print first. The prints look great and I think my customer will be thrilled.
