.-) Well, in Europe the settlements from cases like this are very much dependent on the loss the copyright owner has been subject to. I haven´t lost much more than a few days of frustration during my holidays, so it wouldn´t amount to much.
I thought about your "Bad taste" picture and wondered if I should send him a copy of my picture with the same treatment that your picture had, but I decided against it....
