No - the new DA lenses have this feature.  In fact it's even
easier than the old FA lenses; there's no need to move any
switch to AF mode (just move the focus ring).  Canon have
had this for some time - it's referred to as full-time
manual focus (or touch-up).

Oh, and another thing - the K10D is (supposedly) a 10MP body.
Perhaps you're getting it confused with the K100D/K110D ?
